The Worry Bank

Imagine a place where you can go and discuss all your worries. Whatever you are worrying about, financial issues, health, relationships, or whatever else; you go to this place and discuss what's on your mind and they take all your worries away.

Wouldn't that be wonderful?

I suppose the slogan on the door of this place would be "WE WORRY SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO".

Can you imagine such a place? You go there and all your worries are taken away for ever.

I thought about this place for a while, then this occurred to me:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30

    1. Indeed, and thank you Shug.

Cast your cares on the Lord
      and He will sustain you;
      He will never let
      the righteous be shaken.

      God bless you, Shug.

  2. Jesus will take all our worries and cares on Himself. We should pray when we are tempted to worry. Blessings, Victor!

  3. Easier said than done, especially when the rent is past due, car breaks down, insurance goes up and you're one of the thousands of folks laid off by big corporations recently.

    2. Almost everything is easier said than done, which means that it may still be worth doing. Faith doesn't make life's challenges and difficulties dissipate into the ether. But the Lord can and does work in and through these things.

      God bless you.

  4. What a comfort, knowing our worries are already being addressed. That said, however, why do I struggle to lift the weight all by myself. Jesus, take the wheel!

    1. I guess it is in our nature as humans to toil and struggle to take control of events which we cannot possibly control. It's a bit like a dog tugging and struggling with the lead rather than be guided by its owner.

If only we trusted God more and left it all to Him. I've tried; it's difficult I admit.

God bless you, Mevely my friend.

  6. Victor just got word that a friend's 9-month-old child was taken off a ventilator - and just passed away. Would you say a prayer? Quite fitting verse for today - but it is hard to understand the why?

    1. Oh, I am so sorry to read this.
I'm sure Victor will say a prayer but wanted you to know I am saying one too.

      All the best Jan

    2. I've just got in, Sandie; and I've read your message. I am so sorry to hear about the sad and tragic death of the poor baby. I am praying for this family right now; and will be writing to you shortly.

I'm sure, like Jan, many of our readers will be praying too.

      God bless.

  9. I think the Bible has 300 verses about Do not worry and Do not be anxious. This lifts my spirits knowing I can give all my cares and worries to Him. Jesus said "who among you can add one day to your life by worrying?"

    1. You are right, Terra. Time and again the Bible has references about worrying and teaches us to trust in God. The thing is, our human nature is such that our trust is limited and we always suspect and fear the worst. God knows our human nature and forgives us time and again. We should use such opportunities to learn to trust Him all the more.

Thank you for visiting me. Please call again soon and often.

      God bless you.

  10. That's what I thought of, too, we can carry our worries to Him and say, "Jesus, I trust in you, please take care of everything," and He will!

  11. Aww, seriously, the idea of a Worry Bank with the slogan "WE WORRY SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO" is just the cutest, most genius concept ever! We all need a place like that sometimes when the world feels like too much, you know? But the way you connected that sweet, human longing for a worry-free zone straight to that beautiful passage from Matthew 11:28-30 is just so deep and comforting. It’s a perfect reminder that the ultimate rest we look for is already there. That was so uplifting.
