There's nothing wrong with that as long as we tell God honestly how we feel.

A favourite prayer of mine is: "I believe, Lord; help my unbelief" (Mark 9:24).

Thanx for visiting here Michele. I hope you visit and comment again. I may write about doubts in my next post.

God bless you.Victor S E Moubarakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04280638667651857296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2100862372880209397.post-8989545738092522582010-02-28T07:14:05.685-08:002010-02-28T07:14:05.685-08:00I enjoyed the post, my faith wavers between weak a...I enjoyed the post, my faith wavers between weak and strong, that is being honest. I do ask God to help me and I do tell him when I am weak and my mind is overcome with doubts of my own.
I do not doubt God but I doubt myself in my belief. I am not even sure I understand what I am saying. When I feel happy my faith is strong, when I am sad my faith is weak. I wish it were not so but it is the truth, I do not think it is God I have the problem with, I think it is believing in my feelings.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04827927279206076914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2100862372880209397.post-56176348612106431782009-12-10T13:05:05.094-08:002009-12-10T13:05:05.094-08:00Hi Gabriella,

When we pray it we admit to God that we are weak and no matter how much we try we need His help.

God bless.Victor S E Moubarakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04280638667651857296noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2100862372880209397.post-43576299200809119132009-12-10T12:57:02.643-08:002009-12-10T12:57:02.643-08:00Is it possible for faith and doubt to coexist? One...Is it possible for faith and doubt to coexist? One desperate parent in the New Testament would answer that question with a resounding, "Yes!" He's the father of the demon-possessed boy, who in anguish turned to Jesus for help. His had been a long, dark night attempting every imaginable remedy for his son's horrifying and torturous madness. Nothing worked. The scene that Mark's Gospel includes captures, like few others in the Bible, the very real conflict between hope and despair.

They brought the boy to Him. When he saw Him, immediately the spirit threw him into a convulsion, and falling to the ground, he began rolling around and foaming at the mouth. And He asked his father, "How long has this been happening to him?" And he said, "From childhood. It has often thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, take pity on us and help us!" And Jesus said to him, "If You can? All things are possible to him who believes." Immediately the boy's father cried out and said, "I do believe; help my unbelief." Thinking about St. Peter always gives me hope, though he was weak he was made strong in Christ by the Holy Spirit. Your story also reminded me of Jesus and the woman at the well where he slowly lifted her blinders and revealed the truth to her. Father Ignatius seemed to draw the young man gradually also and each time he spoke the young man received a little more light.Mary N.https://www.blogger.com/profile/06618318192221168152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2100862372880209397.post-48573656605421501352009-12-09T18:17:04.426-08:002009-12-09T18:17:04.426-08:00Great story!
