Heretofore, I believed coming closer to Christ would allay my fears, my anxiety. Since that's not always been the case, this message really resonates. Thank you!
Let's put it this way, Mevely; the Devil will never bother un-believers. They are already on his side - so to speak. He bothers people who believe and love God and tempts them away by making them worry and anxious that their God has abandoned them. Remember, he tempted Jesus on the Cross to believe He was abandoned by His Father. But God was there all the time; suffering with Jesus.
