There are some wonderfully spiritual country songs, aren't there? I love country voices - a lot of them have a real purity to their sound. Fr. Francis seems to have that country lilt, too. Do you know him personally, Victor?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this.
God bless:-)
Hi Vicky,
DeleteYes. I've known Father Francis personally for many years. He often sings in malls and shopping centres as well as in his concerts and has raised over £1m for charity. He has written many books and has had weekly columns in several local as well as Catholic newspapers. He is a Franciscan monk/priest and was based in Wales for a long time, now in Northern England.
I have posted several of his songs on You Tube as well as on this blog. Just click his name at the end of my post.
He also contributes sermons from time to time to the Community of Catholic Bloggers website which Mary manages.
God bless.
Hi Vicky,
DeleteForgot to mention, Fr Francis also wrote this pro-life song which has saved a number of babies from abortion. Their mothers heard the song whilst pregnant and changed their mind about abortion.
Here's the link: http://timeforreflections.blogspot.co.uk/2010/06/cry-from-heart-pro-life-song-by-father.html
God bless.
That was powerful, Victor. The ending pierces the heart - I can understand how it has worked to save babies' lives.
ReplyDeleteIs it you in the video with Fr. Francis, Victor? I had trouble concentrating, at first, because I wondered if I had finally got to 'meet' the man underneath the feathered akubra.
Thank you for sharing, Victor. I hope Fr. Francis' mission reaches its audience.
God bless:-)
PS. Now answer the question!:-D
No Vicky ... it is my brother.
DeleteIt is a powerful song isn't it? Perhaps I should re-post that particular video once again sometime.
God bless.
Yes, re-posting is a great idea. Would it help the mission to have a link in my sidebar?
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to see your brother - almost Victor, but not quite:-)
God bless, Victor:-)
Thanx Vicky.
ReplyDeleteI have re-posted the original version of the song. It is on You Tube here:

Any link or embedding on your Blog may well help save other babies. Praise God.
As for my brother's video ... I am more handsome.
God bless.
I have a baby picture that has always seemed special in some way. I'll do a link with it, later today.
DeleteVictor, after casting aspersions on your brother's physical appearance, I think you may well have to divulge your evidence.
Come on - give us a photo! No cartoons, pictures of monkeys or any other wildlife, childhood piccies or midnight shots without the flash - we want the real deal, my friend!
God bless:-)
Thank you Vicky. You're very kind.
DeleteI'll have to think about my photo. Will a photo of my cat do instead?
God bless.
No, Victor, it will not!
ReplyDeletevery inspiring man
