Desperate Prayer

8 comments:

  1. As I listened to this, I was reminded of the words of our 16th US President, Abraham Lincoln. "I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had no where else to go. My own wisdom and that of all about me seemed insufficient for that day." I, myself, also, have been driven to the same, exact place. You are right, the most precious gift we can give to another is to pray for them. Sometimes, we do, as you said, reach a place where we, ourselves, can no longer pray. Words fail us. I am so thankful the Holy Spirit intercedes for us when we do not know what to say to God. As the song says, "Tears are a language. God understands." So thankful He does. God bless you, Victor.

  2. Yes, your words remind me of so many of the Psalms, and the Laments within them, and of the passage in the New Testament that says, "The Spirit intercedes for us with groanings that cannot be uttered." Thank you for your encouragement to bring ALL of our burdens to HIM!

      Praying for you.
