Don't upset anyone

Do not ever do or say anything that is likely to upset anyone.

Can you imagine how different the world would be if no one ever did or said anything that upset another human being?

If Jesus never said or did anything to upset anyone they would probably not have Crucified Him.

  1. It's not always easy to get it right, is it? With myself, I know if I get upset it's usually my silly pride that's the problem. But, being sensitive to my own feelings doesn't always make me sensitive enough to others.

    Lots to ponder, Victor!
    God bless:-)

  2. You're very wise Vicky.

When we get upset we need to ask ourselves WHY we're really upset. Is it our pride as you rightly say? Or has the other person got a point to make and it is our sensitivity that prevents us from hearing?

Christ definetly upset many people. He was never shy to say or do the right thing for fear that He might upset someone.

Our priest gave a wonderful sermon on Sunday about upsetting people for the right reasons.

    God bless.

  3. Sometimes we have to upset people. Charity doesn't mean walking on eggshells in fear of stepping on a few toes, right? Sometimes our biggest "AHA" moments come after being upset over something.

I think God would happily (but gently) love to upset the politically correct world we live in. Underneath the guise of being "politically correct" are a ton of lies.

Guess whose feast day today is? St Sharbel's!

  4. Well said Mary. You have the ability of saying exactly what I'm thinking; only better.

I did not know it was St Charbel's day today. I prayed to him though. He's probably too busy partying to hear me just now.

    God bless you Mary.

  5. You have now given me the perfect excuse to say a few things that I've been meaning to get off my chest.

    Oh.

That's not the way you meant it.

    Oh well.

    (Good thought provoking post anyway!)
