Undress to Impress

Why do people wear T-Shirts with silly slogans?

I saw someone at the supermarket with a shirt saying “Undress to Impress”.

Now, it’s somewhat dubious whether it is in good taste for a woman, however pretty, to wear such a slogan.

But this was a middle aged man, and so ugly that the only thing he’d impress would be the dead mackerel in the frozen food compartment.

  1. It's just smutty, isn't it? Not funny.

When I was little, I had a T-shirt with a cat on the front. It used to peek over the table at dinner and I loved it so much that I wore it until the poor cat was stretched to its limits across my fat, little tummy. In fact, I still have it - along with an embroidered smock that my mother made. She didn't embroider much but it was exquisitely done and I really treasured it.

    God bless, Victor
PS. The children and I once saw a chubby, middle-aged man proudly wearing a G-string at a secluded beach we were at. We picked up our towels and ran!

  2. Yes Vicky. It is smutty.

It's nice to hold on to old T-shirts and fond memories.

Why do nudists and G-string wearers have to do it in public? If it was in a private only beach then ... that's their private business !!!

    God bless.

  4. Well Cathy. I was not shocked.

I thought he had delutions of mediocrity.

Perhaps if he was as hunky and handsome as me he wouldn't need such a slogan!

I hope you have a great week too. God bless.

  5. Good question Victor. One might also ask why there aren't as many t-shirts with Catholic sayings on them!

    1. Hi Michael,

I suspect, speaking for the UK, not many people want to go around with Christian slogans on their shirts. Perhaps at special Christian conventions, but certainly not in public - e.g. shops.

      God bless.

  6. LOL Thank you for supplying my first good laugh of the day.

But the question about why people where such things? I don't know. Hopefully that guy's wife will "lose" the shirt next laundry day. ;)

    1. Good point Amanda. In fact I wonder why his wife, (if he has one) would allow him to wear such a shirt.

Nice to see you visiting here Amanda. We look forward to your return visits.

      God bless.

  7. UGH! That's just plain disgusting :)

Man, am I tempted to get a t-shirt that says "I love Jesus Christ" and see what happens :) I live in a very secular part of our country.

  8. I agree Mary. People don't wear Christian slogans around here either.

    God bless.
