The Raven and The Crow

A raven and a crow,

Came to my window one evening

As it was getting dark

“Who’s the most menacing?”

They asked.

“It depends” I replied.

“Who are you trying to menace?”

“You … you idiot!”

They said in unison.

“We’re menacing you!”

“Menacing is an indication of an inferiority complex!”

I remarked calmly.

They looked at each other and flew away to menace someone else.

    1. Indeed I did Christine. The thing is, we should stand up to menacing and bullying. Even from birds.

      God bless.

    1. You should have heard their bad language, Jan. Worse than a drunken ... eh ... bird.

      God bless.

    1. Ha ha indeed, Sandi. Those birds were really rude, I tell you. I'm still having nightmares about them.

      God bless.

    1. Hi Martha,

I think things have gone too far when I am even threatened by birds. It's like Alfred Hitchcock all over again.

      God bless.

  6. Great! We have some loudmouths over hear that like to scream early in the morning. I just read a story about a seagull who took a guy's wallet in Gloucester, MA and flew up to the top of a building and dropped it there. He needed help getting it back which I believe he did. :)

    1. I think birds are getting a little too daring, Bill. Over here in England seagulls gang up in groups to attack people and steal their fish and chips. Once I was at a seaside town with my boss and a seagull flew above us and emptied its load on my boss. My boss was covered in it and she asked me if I had a paper handkerchief. I told her it's too late now, the seagull is miles away.

      God bless.

    1. Yes indeed Jan. Where will it all end, I ask. Wasps will start attacking people next. One came in the shower with me through the window the other day.

      God bless.

    1. Yes, Terri, they were talking birds too. Not parrots. A raven and a crow, talking to me whilst I was enjoying a whisky, or two.

      God bless.

    1. Aha ... Manny. That is exactly my problem. And they both appeared to challenge me about that.

For some reason, they both (or one of them at least) appear in horror movies in old houses with ghosts and frigtening things. You hear the going "caw ... caw ... caw ..."

I think they have a speech defect and they mean to say, "cow ... cow ... cow" I wonder why?

      God bless.

    1. Bullying is often because of an inferiority complex, Chris.
