Hello and welcome to Time for Reflections
There will be times in life when events and circumstances will overwhelm us. We will feel the need and necessity to respond, to get involved, to put things right.
As a good and important discipline, our first instinct should always be to hand over the situation to God. Even if we spend the shortest moment in doing so. We should give the situation, with its uncertainties, difficulties and fears to God.
This handing over to God ensures Divine intervention in every situation; however bad it is. This simple act of faith is repaid many times by God, because we are acknowledging His omnipotence, His power and His love for us.
Our first reaction should always be handing the situation to God, and then wait and watch calmly and patiently His oversight and His activity. We may well be tempted to act, and to take control once again; but we should wait on God’s command. God will show us what we should say and what we should do and when and how to do it.
By praising God in such difficult times, however bad they are, we are in effect demonstrating our total faith in Him and accepting that His will be done always; because His will is for our good.
Thank you for listening. God bless.
Thank you very much for listening to Time for Reflections. This is Vic Moubarak saying bye bye for now and God bless.
...if something is on fire, I'll run for water first.
ReplyDeleteMy uncle always said fight fire with fire. He got thrown out of the fire-brigade.
DeleteGod bless, Tom.
Speaking as a recovering Control Freak, this wisdom hits home. I'm trying!
ReplyDeleteIts always good to hear your voice. Blessings!
Thank you, Mevely.
DeleteWe all have the "control freak" mechanism in our very make-up. Why?
Because God created us this way. He did not create robots. He created souls and gave them the freedom to decide. This very freedom makes us go left or go right and in doing so we affect our own and others futures and present. We may decide to go on holiday to this place instead of that; and thus we meet different people and affect them differently.
So we need not worry about being control freaks or decisions makers. What we need to do is make a decision based on trust in God and His guidance through the Holy Spirit.
God bless you, Mevely.
Dearest Victor,
ReplyDeleteYes, praying to God for strength and you WILL make it through!
Patiently is a difficult thing to manage—but with God's help, that too gets handled.
Hugs,
Mariette
Well said, Mariette. Praying to God and patiently waiting for His will be done.

DeleteThere are times that we think we know best and we are wrong. Step away and hand it over to God, what an easy solution.
ReplyDeleteAmen Bill. Dare to give up control to God.
DeleteGod bless.
Handing all my cares and troubles over to God has been the most freeing thing I've ever done, Victor. Everything is in His hands.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Not easy though, is it?
DeleteGod bless, Martha.
We should turn to God first, not as a last resort. I've learned it makes all the difference!!!!
ReplyDeleteAmen Happyone. God bless.
DeleteAs always, you hit the nail on the head. Overwhelmed is a good description. Oh yes and enjoyed HEARING as well as reading . Good on you my friend.
ReplyDeleteI need this... THANKS
Sherry & jack over here....
It is so nice to see you here again Jack; thank you so much for your kind comments. I hope you and Sherry are keeping well.
DeleteGod bless you and your family.
When the leaders brought the woman caught in adultery to Jesus, they tried to be in charge of the situation, pushing Him to answer. He simply waited, writing on the ground, not allowing them to dictate His timing. It's not easy for us, but it's what we need to do, not allowing the circumstance to dictate our response or the timing, but letting Him show us when and how to respond.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Indeed, you are right Mimi. Our first instinct should be to pray first; and then wait on God's guidance.
DeleteGod bless.
You are so right in what you have said in your post Victor, it is FAITH that is the substance of things hoped for. God bless you as you continue to share your faith in our lovely Lord.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words, Brenda. Faith is knowing for sure that God will guide and protect us.
DeleteGod bless.
