Pay attention now folks. This is serious ...
If you knew for certain, no hesitation, no doubts, that Jesus was returning to earth next Wednesday at 10:15 am as it says in the Bible ...
And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them. They also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.” Acts 1:9-11
If you knew of His return for certain ... is there anything you need to do?
Are you ready to meet Jesus?
Are there any things in your life still left undone?
Sins long forgotten or hidden which need to be repented on and confessed?
People whom you need to forgive truly and fully?
People from whom you need to seek forgiveness?
Wrongdoings which need to be put right?
Are you really really ready to meet Jesus next Wednesday on Judgement Day? Or next Tuesday? Or tomorrow? Or now?
Just asking ... ... ...
...most modern day Christians wouldn't recognize Jesus today or tomorrow or next Wednesday at 10:15 am!
ReplyDeleteSadly, you are right, Tom.

DeleteThis is, indeed, a serious question, Victor, and one we should ask ourselves frequently.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Amen Martha. A question often forgotten.
DeleteGod bless.
A question, the big test, be ready. You don't want to fail this one and be left behind.
ReplyDeleteYet many don't believe they will ever be answerable for their deeds.
DeleteGod bless you, Bill.
A very good question to ask ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
And a difficult question to answer.
DeleteGod bless, Jan.
Good question.
ReplyDeleteI was once told a fellow friar asked St. Francis of Assisi, while he was tending his roses, what he would do if he found out Jesus was coming back in ten minutes. Without getting up off his knees, he said, "I'd finish tending my rose bushes."
I don't always succeed, but i try to be doing the things i should and getting along with everyone at all times. Just in case.
Obviously St Francis was always ready. As we should be.
DeleteGod bless, Mimi.
