Imagine ... your worst nightmare.
You wake up one morning and you switch on the radio or TV.
Disastrous News. The whole stock of the world's chocolates have vanished. Disappeared. They no longer exist.
No one knows how and when it happened.
No shop in the world has any stock of chocolates. No warehouse, no factory, no wholesaler or retailer in the entire world has any chocolates. All stocks have vanished. No one knows where.
What is worst ... all ingredients that make up chocolates have also vanished. The entire world does not have any cocoa beans, or cocoa butter or whatever it is they put together to make chocolate.
The shortage also applies to all things made with or featuring chocolate. No more chocolate ice cream. No more chocolate cake. Biscuits. Cookies. Milk shakes or anything else where chocolate was an ingredient.
To be precise ... there is no more chocolate in the entire world.
Any little crumbs that may be found are worth a fortune.
You rush to your cupboard and find one bar of chocolate you bought earlier.
What do you do?
Eat it?
Share it with your family?
Sell it and become rich beyond your dreams?
Hide it and wait for the price to go up even higher?
If chocolate is not your "thing" - what other product or item would be your Nightmare Scenario if it suddenly no longer existed.
For me ... it would be the spoon rest. I'd be totally lost and devastated without it.

Not bothered about chocolate but if I were not able to have a pen to write my journal with ( and I have many lurking in the house so I don't have a panic) that would be the nightmare for me

Indeed Maz, pens and pencils are so important. As are you, thank you for visiting me here. Please call again and often.
DeleteGod bless.
Can you imagine the horror?? No chocolate! And to top it off, no spoon rests!
ReplyDeleteI think I'll go back to bed.
A shortage of spoon rests would be an international disaster.
DeleteGod bless you, Sandi.
Spoonrest, hahaha.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what we would do without our spoon rest.
DeleteGod bless, Christine.
Chocolate's not particularly tempting to me, but I'd be totally devastated were the Internet (eg, Blogger and Facebook) to disappear!
ReplyDeleteIf it was not for Blogger I would not have met you, Mevely. And that would be sad. Also, I would not have met many other bloggers and readers. As for Facebook; I once did not like what I said there and blocked myself; now I cannot log into my own account!
DeleteGod bless you, my friend.
I'd be fine without chocolate, but all the angry women would scare the crap outta me.
ReplyDeleteI'd break that one bar up in tiny pieces and share it with the world! (I'd sell it).
I would be devastated if the world no longer had bar-ba-qued chicken.
I agree with you about the angry women, JoeH. Do you know how to confuse a woman? Buy her shoes made of chocolate!
DeleteI also agree about the BBQ chicken. I love it.
God bless.
A SPOON REST? So that's what that thing is. I've been using it to stir sauce.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was to rest one's pipe in between smokes.
DeleteGod bless.
I am not a chocoholic, but if it were to suddenly disappear, I would absolutely miss it at some point. What would bother me to the core was if I couldn't use my blog/computer to communicate with good friends like you, Victor!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Oh that's such a nice thing to say, Martha, about the chocolate.
DeleteSeriously though, I am so glad the internet brought us together. So many friendships not just on open channels like Blogger but also by e-mail.
God bless you always, Martha.
Bless you, Victor; you're blog is becoming a religious habit for me. I now start my day by pouring a coffee, turning on my computer, and going to the 'Catholic Canada' website; where I first read the 'Daily Scriptures', reflect and pray; and then, go directly to your blog. What a treat it is to start off every day with Scripture, Reflection and Prayer, followed by a good, hearty LAUGH out loud! Thank you. I'll be back! Have yourself a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne,
DeleteIt is great to hear that you enjoy my writings. Thanx for writing in to tell me. It encourages me no end.
This is mainly a Christian website. However, I post a few humourous articles because I have discovered from the visitors stats that I get a number of new readers who come here for a laugh or smile and, hopefully, get to read my more serious religious articles and perhaps get to learn about Our Lord.
Why not put this Blog on your bookmarks so you can easily find it; instead of searching for me in Catholic Canada? I am very grateful to Catholic Canada for posting my articles there.
I also have a personal website at www.holyvisions.co.uk
Please tell others about this Blog Suzanne. Thanx.
God bless.
I would be lost without my camera, that would be awful and I can't imagine it. I've carried it everywhere for years with me and surely it would feel like I lost a friend.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed I can imagine that, Bill. You certainly are a great photographer.
DeleteI have an old Fuji Finepix. I guess yours is a top of the range SLR.
God bless.
I would be devastated and lost without a connection to YOU, Victor! No more giggles.
ReplyDeleteThank you Terri for the kind thing you said. Ideas just come to my head; the more they make people smile the better. So thank you for visiting me here. Please send others here too.
DeleteGod bless.
For me it's tea!
ReplyDeleteYes I do like my cuppa's during the day LOL!
All the best Jan
Tea and mint tea is OK. I dread nettles and dandelion tea, though.
DeleteGod bless, Jan.
Not a happy thought to be without chocolate!!
ReplyDeleteA spoon rest!? Too funny!
Spoon rests are the greatest inventions ever. Before that, we lived like animals. We used saucers, plates, cups and even glasses to put our spoons in. I once put a spoon in a potted plant whilst cooking. We've been given a spoon rest for Christmas and now we are civilised.
DeleteGod bless you, Happyone.
