Jigsaw Puzzle

There is nothing more frustrating than when you finish a jigsaw puzzle and find a piece missing. Today I finally finished a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle – and guess what. There’s a piece extra in the box.

So if any of you out there have a jigsaw piece missing from your puzzle, maybe it’s the one I’ve got!

Which reminds of something I read somewhere … life can be a bit like a jigsaw puzzle. Full of doubts, fears, frustrations and confusions … as well as good times too. If we were to put God right in the middle of our life our jigsaw puzzle would be complete. And what a wonderful picture it would make!

    1. It's easy to complete a 1000 piece puzzle. You just push the pieces into each other by force. Sometimes you can use a hammer to tap the edges flat. It's a weird picture and not actually rectangular as in the photo on the cover of the box.

      God bless you, Jan.

  3. Yes, it is true but too often people put themselves at the center. Maybe that's the problem in today's world.

    1. That is exactly the problem today, Bill; people put themsleves in the centre; well said.

  4. Well said. Galileo had it right. Earth is not at the center, and neither are we.

1000 pieces?! The last time we tried that was 1987. It was white horses galloping through the tide in a fog. Man.

    1. It was actually 1001 pieces, Susan. The picture on the box was a green and red cockerel. But all the jigsaw pieces were yellow. I've just been told it's a box of corn flakes.

      God bless.

  6. Great post Victor and I did like Bill's reply!

Jigsaw puzzles are great. I can remember when growing up my parents always used to have a puzzle on a table and at various times we would all go and put a piece or two in until the puzzle was completed … nice family times … thanks for jogging this pleasant memory for me :)

    All the best Jan
