...the first one I know and have enjoyed, the second one is new to me. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom. I'm so glad you enjoyed my music offerings today.
DeleteI have posted many other Father Francis songs here - see list on right:

God bless.
You know "Walk on" is permanently engraved on my heart. Now, like Tom, the second is new to me but will be replayed and absorbed.
ReplyDeleteIt prompts feelings of sadness and regret -- but at the same time I want to sit up a little straighter and ask myself, "What are you waiting for?" None of us really know how much time remains, do we?
Yes, it is a sad and sobering song about time. "If I only had time" was recorded by the New Zealand singer John Rowles in 1968 and became a worldwide hit single. I guess you're too young to remember it, Mevely.
DeleteI have posted other Father Francis songs on You Tube - see my response to Tom, above.
God bless, Mevely.
Not too young at all, Victor! I was already a high school senior, but (only) consumed by the likes of the Stones, Beatles, DC5, Yardbirds, etc.
DeleteDearest Victor,
ReplyDeleteSome very good songs and text—to ponder deeply about!
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Mariette
So nice to see you visiting here again, Mariette. Thank you so much.
DeleteGod bless you and Pieter.

DeleteThank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you visiting here, Cloudia. Thanx. Call again soon and often.
DeleteGod bless always.
As always, I appreciate the words. Although I knew the first, but I sang faster (or the Father was too slow!) But I did keep up. This was pleasant, but I was looking for Father Ignatius... I am smiling, when I saw the pic you always show of the Father, I think automatically of Faher Ignatius, somehow I have associated the two. ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove from over here.......Sherry & jack
I'm so glad you enjoyed the songs, Jack.
DeleteI have known Father Francis for a number of years now and the character of Father Ignatius in my books is based on a number of priests I have known over the years. Some of the stories in the books are true also. So it is right to associate the two together.
Father Francis sings in shopping centres and malls, as well as in concerts to raise money for charity. He also writes books and knits scarves which he sells for charity. He has contributed regular articles to various magazines and newspapers and has run Missions up and down the UK as visiting speaker. He has raised over £1m for charities through his singing and books.
I have posted about 70 of his songs on You Tube. See the link above in my reply to Tom.
God bless you, Jack, Sherry and family.
Thank you for sharing these Victor.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank you Jan.
DeleteGod bless always.
