SIR CLIFF RICHARD
Our Father who art in HeavenHallowed be thy nameThy Kingdom come thy will be done on earth as in heavenGive us this day our daily breadAnd forgive our sinsAs we forgive each one of those who sin against usAnd lead us not to the time of trialBut deliver us from evilFor thine is the kingdom the power and the glory

I've never heard this song before, and am not familiar with Sir Cliff Richard, but I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteSir Cliff Richard (born 1940) is a British singer and actor having sold 21.5 million singles records in the UK alone. He is the third top selling artist in the world after the Beatles and Elvis Presley. He recorded this song in late 1999 to welcome the new Millennium in 2000.
DeleteHis career spans more than 65 years. In 1964 he became a Christian and recorded Christian songs and appeared with Billy Graham at his crusades.
God bless, Pamela.
Amen.
ReplyDeleteGod bless, Sandi.
Delete...Victor, my best to you in the new year.
ReplyDeleteAnd the same to you, Tom; God bless you always.
DeleteThank you for the Tuesday morning inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kathy. God bless.
DeleteI'm so glad you shared this, Victor. I recall having watched it last year? ... but I could watch/listen to it time and time again. Count me among his fans!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mevely. It is a song worth repeating every year. At one point the radios here would not play it - too religious!!!
DeleteGod bless you and yours always.
A simply amazing and spirit-filled song, Victor! Thanks for sharing this and for giving us some background on Sir Cliff.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
It took a lot of courage that at the age of 24 Cliff announced publicly, (I believe it was at a Billy Graham Crusade), that he'd become a Christian. He was already a successful singer in the UK having started his career at age 18; and he was warned that going public with this would ruin his career. It didn't. He is still loved by many fans today at age 83.
DeleteHe is one of the few performers or "celebrities" in the UK to declare they are Christians. Over here if you say you're a Christian your public career is over. Even politicians have difficulties with their Christian beliefs.
God bless, Martha.
I'm a long term fan of Sir Cliff Richard, many thanks for sharing this Victor.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
He deserves all the fans and success he has got.
DeleteGod bless, Jan.
Yes I have heard him and this song. It's awesome and I bet it is amazing to watch in concert.
ReplyDeleteIndeed, it would have been great to be there in person.
DeleteGod bless, Debby.
Thank you. We all need all the prayer we can get.
