Imagine

Can you imagine?

The world population is estimated at 7.7 billion. I don't even know how many 0s there are in the figure 7.7 billion. Quite a few I should guess.

Can you imagine all those people in all those countries? Close your eyes for a moment or two and imagine people in your own country, then move your mind to other continents and countries and imagine all the people there.

It took over 200,000 years of human history for the world's population to reach 1 billion, and only 200 years more to reach 7 billion.

Now let's imagine something else.

How many of these 7.7 billion people believe in God? Not just say that they believe in God; but truly believe in a living God, an Omnipotent Creator of the universe and all that is in it, including us.

How many people truly believe this?

50% of the world's population? Less perhaps? 40%? What figure would you guess?

Now let us imagine something else.

How many people who truly believe in a living God also believe that He allowed His only Son, Jesus, to be born as a human, of a virgin, here on earth? To live amongst us. To teach, to heal and to raise from the dead. And also to die a most horrible death, and to be raised again by God, His Father?

How many people truly believe this also?

50% of those who truly believe in God? 40%? Or an even lower figure than that?

Let us imagine a little more.

How many of those people who truly believe in God, and in Jesus as His only Son, also believe that God sent His Holy Spirit on the disciples? And also sends the Holy Spirit to guide us, and to dwell within us, right now, if we ask Him?

The percentage figure of people who truly, without doubt, believe in the Holy Trinity must be getting pretty small right now.

And if you are one of those people who truly believe in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, then you are truly in the minority.

Imagine that.

  3. I pray that it isn't a minority we are in as Christians, Victor, but my mind tells me differently. Let us pray for all the lost souls . . .
    Blessings!

    1. I guess those who TRULY believe are in the minority, Martha. There are plenty of lost souls in need of our prayers. I know quite a few.

God bless you always my friend.

    1. So glad you enjoyed the video, Mevely.

Yes, sadly, those people who truly believe are in a small minority. Let us pray.

      God bless you always, Mevely.

  5. As hard as it is to "imagine" any of this, it's even harder to imagine that there are those who do feel called to this gift of redemption. I ask myself, "How can they not believe?" and then I realize it is their choice. Have a wonderful day!

    1. Yes, it is their choice to believe or not. What a great gift that God gave them. Free choice.

      God bless you, Cathy.

  8. I suspect that God also loves those that are not so sure.

    1. Yes, I guess you are right. The "not so sure". Not the downright rebellious who are sure that God does not exist to the point that they preach about it and encourage others to follow their example. I suspect He loves them to the point that He lets them make their own decision to go their own way.

      God bless, JoeH.

  9. Many beliefs in Christianity have become watered down. It is somewhat like political correctness. God loves all, knowing that so many them will never believe in Him. God weeps for the lost.

  11. This is staggering to think about. It made me call to mind the quote, "God plus one equals a majority." So thankful that greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. We know who wins in the end, thank the Lord!
