I need some advice from my readers, especially Tom and Bill.
Whilst on a river cruise holiday last year a man fell overboard. Should I have used my cell-phone camera to take a photo, or my Fujifilm Finepix camera which I had with me at the time?

...I would have called for help!
ReplyDeleteAnd miss the opportunity of a photo? I'm surprised at you, such a professional photographer. Your photos are a great joy to many.
DeleteGod bless, Tom.
Oh, how I rue these selfie and selfish days in which we are living, Victor. Call 911!
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Good point, Martha. We're in the selfish generation.
DeleteGod bless.
I would have called for help and then took a photo of the rescue operation.
ReplyDeleteBy then someone else will have scooped a good photo, Bill.
DeleteGod bless.
Cell phones are faster. Take the picture and yell for help while you're doing it.
ReplyDelete---Cheerful Monk
My thoughts exactly. I also considered asking the man fallen overboard to take a selfie photo.
DeleteGod bless, Cheerful Monk.
I would have copied Bill, call 911 and then snap pictures w/my phone.
ReplyDeleteOn another topic, Victor, as you may know by now, I have been made aware of both the existence and the contents of both my "Comments Awaiting Moderation" and SPAM boxes on my blog. I think I have just this afternoon completed going back through over 300 comments (a combination of the contents of both boxes) to publish the vast majority of those comments.
By far, YOU are the one who had commented the most about apparent lost comments. Yes, I had seen some of those (although not nearly all of them). I will be honest in confessing I thought the problem might be related to the fact that you live (I assume) an ocean away from me, and perhaps that had something to do with your comments not consistently showing up on my blog posts.
I just didn't know. So sorry. I thank you for your patience in continuing to read my blog over all this time and for the pleasant things you have said.
I am most hopeful that the measures I've taken have corrected the problem. Time will tell.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Barbara. I hope the problem with the comments has now sorted itself out. If you have any further problems please let me know and my techie guy may be able to help. My address is at the top right under the "Contact Us" tag.
DeleteGod bless you.
What! You didn't have a Canon?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh, I might have jumped in to try to save the person and lost both camera and phone.
My Canon camera was on automatic filming me taking a photo of the fallen man.
DeleteGod bless you, Mimi.
I wonder about that a lot with some photos on the internet. LOL
ReplyDeleteFrom HOT Florida
Indeed Jack; there are so many selfie photos on the Internet these days. Glad to see you visiting here again.
DeleteGod bless you and Sherry.
I may have tossed him a life preserver and video-taped his clumsy efforts to share with America's Funniest Videos. Win-win.
ReplyDeleteA good suggestion, and in line with my sense of humour. Thank you, Mevely.
DeleteGod bless always.
I would have called 911 and if my husband was with me, he’d jump in to save the person. Then I’d take photos after it was all said and done.
ReplyDeleteI can’t take a decent selfie. They always look like I’m taking a selfie. God bless Victor.
I wonder, how do the 911 people know what camera I would need? Do they give camera advice on-line?
DeleteGod bless, Debby.
