...things routinely can go wrong and then they can go really, really wrong!
ReplyDeleteAnd what do you do about it, Tom? Apart from praising God that He is still in control.
DeleteGod bless.
I agree with everything you have said here Victor, absolutely everything. God bless you for sharing this, and I hope it will encourage many others who are going through trials.
ReplyDeleteThank you Brenda; you are so kind to me. This is one of my old recordings from when I was on the radio.
DeleteGod bless.
You have certainly spoken God's truth in love here, Victor. In God's economy, nothing is wasted, even our troubles and hard times. How we live through those times can certainly bring another person closer to knowing and loving God.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Thank you for your kindness and continued support, Martha. I really appreciate it; also your Reviews of my books on AMAZON.
DeleteGod bless always.
Yes yes and a big AMEN!
ReplyDeleteAfter my 25 yr old son died unexpectedly 21 years ago, I didn’t look at the bigger picture. I concentrated too much on my grief and loss. My husband came along side me and would say what you said and it angered me.
Now because of that period I can now use that as a gauge - now I do my best (I don’t always succeed) to praise God for even the bad times and in doing so, the Holy Spirit reveals the bigger picture. God bless Victor and thank you!
I am so sorry to hear of your loss, Debby. Yes; it must have been heart-breaking and your reaction is normal and to be expected. God knows that, because He created you, and He loves you all the time, no matter how you behave. I believe He grieves with us at times of troubles and is always near at hand to console us and help us through the most difficult of times.
DeleteGod bless you and yours.
Oh, this is a keeper!
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of something I saw yesterday on FB. The mother of a little girl who drowned (at her 2nd birthday party last week) wrote about organ donations:
"Somewhere, someone is getting the news that their baby has a chance at life. My baby is a hero. Thank you God for letting her beautiful heart live on. 🙏" If she can thank God in that unimaginable circumstance, why can't I?
Thank you for your candor ... your encouragement always.
It is so sad, Mevely, to hear of the tragic death of such a youngster. How can a parent ever recover from such an event; and how wonderful that in the midst of it all this mother agreed to donate her child's heart. This mother has more faith than I can ever imagine, (or have). Through the death of her child she not only gave life to someone else; but she also glorified God as well.
DeleteMy heart breaks for her. God bless you, dear friend. I pray you and yours are well.
My favorite prayer when things are painful is, "That you, Lord, for the opportunity. I sure hope You know what You are doing." My god has a sense of humor and trusts me. We're a team.
ReplyDelete---Cheerful Monk
God always knows what He is doing and we need to trust Him more.
DeleteGod bless, Cheerful Monk.
When things go wrong, I talk to God and remember all the good things he did for me when I needed something positive. He never fails.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely way to pray, Bill. To remember what He has already done for us.
DeleteGod bless always.
Paul and Silas praised in a jail cell after being beaten, and I've never had that happen, so yes, we should praise in all circumstances. Note we don't have to praise for the circumstances, but in them, knowing they didn't take Him by surprise and He has a plan to work it for good.
ReplyDeleteAmen to what you said, Mimi. Amen.
DeleteGod bless.
