Favorite Bible Readings.

Karinann and Barb have tagged me to say which are my three favorite Bible Readings.

How difficult !!! There are so many ... OK, here goes:

Do not be afraid, for I have redeemed you. I have called you by your name; you are mine. ISAIAH 43:1-5

Well, this speaks for itself. Whenever I go through difficult times in my life, (quite often it seems), I remember to take courage and as far as I can, shake away any fears. The next passage also gives me encouragement when I'm feeling low and things go wrong.

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. PSALM 23.

If you read the whole Psalm slowly, taking in every word, I hope you too will feel God's calming love and care in your life at times of troubles.

I believe Lord; help my unbelief. MARK 9:24

If I'm honest, my Faith often falters and stumbles when things get difficult. And this passage reminds me that I'm not alone in feeling this way.

And I will be with you always, to the end of time. MATTHEW 28:20

This promise from Our Lord certainly keeps me going and reminds me that Jesus is here with us right now; only a prayer away.

Hey wait ... that's not three ... that's four. Poor mathematical education I guess.

Here are more of my favorite readings on various subjects. Please click HERE.

  1. These are all wonderful verses Victor. I agree with you about Psalm 23- it is such a powerful statement of God's love and care for us. Limiting to 3 (or 4) was not easy. This was a great way to see how God, through Scripture, speaks to us.
Glad you joined in. God bless.

  2. Thank you Karinann.

    Loved reading your choices.

    God bless.

  3. Very well done! I am fond of Mark 9:24 too! Cathy

  4. Psalm 23 and Matthew 28:20 are among my most favs too and so is Matthew 6:26... Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
    Thanks for sharing : )

  5. I love all of your choices, and one of my favorites is Psalm 27.....:-)Hugs

  6. These are great picks! Why not 4 :) The more scripture the better! I particularly like the verse from Isaiah and the one from Matthew that you have chosen - they are full hope and very consoling! God bless you, Victor!

  7. I couldn't possibly decide on three favourites but we had a good discussion about this at prayers this morning. My children think, "How awesome is the Lord!" is a good choice. I am hopeless at references and wouldn't know where that is in the Bible.

    God bless you, Victor.

  8. Greetings Cathy, Doreen, Bernie, Mary and Sue,

How nice to see you all visiting here again and sharing your favorite Scriptures and leaving your kind comments. Thank you, once again, for your visits.

May God bless you and your families always.

  9. Wonderful choices Victor. Such comforting and loving words our Father gives us. And...always that extended hand to help us up after a fall.

  10. Hi Andie,

Thanx for your visit. I find these, and other readings, so comforting when things are bad.

    God bless.

  11. Great choices for keeping us all grounded!

    God Bless

  12. Thanx Michael and Colleen.

    God bless.

  13. Hi Victor,

I claimed Psalm 23 before I was ten years old. I have many favorites, but this one keeps me grounded, as well as The Lords Prayer, of course.

Thank you for giving me new ones.

    God bless you,

  14. Hello Joey,

It's great to see you visiting here again. Thanx.

Psalm 23 has long been my favourite. I find it so reassuring.

    God bless you Joey.

God bless you.
