Is God calling? No … I don’t mean on the phone. Although it would give me a great fright if He called me on the phone.
We read in the Bible that God called Moses for a special task. In the case of Paul, God used more drastic measures to attract his attention.
Jesus called Peter to follow Him. And Matthew, and the other disciples.
Over the years God has called many people to do His work. Mother Theresa comes to mind. I’m sure you can think of many more … your pastor for instance.
Is God calling you right now?
Does He have a task for you?
Are you listening?
Yes, yes. He's always inviting us to something deeper, more compelling, more holy ...

How wonderful to hear the voice of God. There is NOTHING like it!! I read Psalm 32:7 this morning reflecting on his protection and in the background the worship song, You are my hiding place came on. The very thing I was reading in scripture. Great way to start my day.

Hi Victor! Oh my gosh, this is so amazing! I am preparing to give a talk on the invitation to transformation we are given by God, and this is one of the questions I'm going to ask. It's such a huge one, and so important to staying on the right track.

ReplyDeleteThe past few weeks, I have reflected on the Gospels and noticed how Jesus continually inserted himself into people's lives to call them. He got in Peter's boat, went to Matthew's house, etc. He is doing the same with us... but do we recognize Him?

This is a very sobering thought, Victor. I often wonder if I am doing ALL He is asking of me...if I am rebelling in some way. I do the things I know He wants me to, or at least I try my best, but I wonder if there is something more He is asking of me. Something to ponder, that is for sure. Your posts always make me think...or laugh. :) God bless you!
