The train with no wheels
Going nowhere
But the stations are moving
Showing the passing of time.
There goes 1914
Then 39 too.
The 40s and 50s
And the others pass thru.
Humanity at war
Knowing no peace.
The world in turmoil
For ever it seems.
When will this train stop?
For cease-fire and respite,
And let the flower of love
Get a chance to re-birth.
The train with no wheels
That is going nowhere
Will never reach Peace
‘Til we learn to forgive!

Beautifully written and sadly so true.
ReplyDeleteMan has been drawing boundaries and putting up walls since he walked on this Earth. That train still has a long way to go to reach its destination.

Yes Jan. It is sad that after so many years of human existence we still have not learnt to forgive.

Man has known conflict ever since Adam and Eve left Eden.

A beautiful poem Victor, I really like this. Unfortunately the train ride will end when man is done with ruining the earth and there is no one left.
