Some readers here have mistakenly thought I am a priest, or some sort of religious person like a vicar or pastor. I am no such person. Just an ordinary man confused about so many things: like, why is the price of smooth and crunchy peanut butter the same? Surely the method of manufacture is different!
Anyway, in order to tell you more about myself, I think the best way is by leading you to an interview I gave four years ago to a good Blogging friend named Cheryl. I am very grateful for her interviewing talents and for her support of my writings.
...and you think that you are confused!
ReplyDeleteAlways confused!
DeleteGod bless.
That is very good question about the peanut butter!
ReplyDeleteGood question. No answer.

Thanks for sharing.

DeleteYou are a gem, Victor! Thanks so much for sharing Chery's inner views with your audience here.
ReplyDeleteBlessings always!
Thank you so much, Martha. I felt perhaps my readers may be (a little) interested in who I am.
DeleteGod bless you.
What a wonderful 'interview'! I enjoyed every sentence ..... and while I appreciate you're a most private person, the insights you've allowed. BTW, I had one of those little autograph books, too!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kindness to me, Mevely. Yes, I am somewhat reserved; so I thought this interview might be of some help to my readers.
DeleteWhenever I look back at what Dad wrote in my autograph book; I realise how devout he was.
God bless, Mevely.
Like Mev above, I enjoyed the read so much and you came across just like I see you now. I particularly liked :
ReplyDeleteThrough prayer. It does not have to be long prayers reciting things over and over again, like the Rosary, or various Saints’ prayers and so on. I don’t believe in giving God a headache.
I prefer shorter, intimate, one-to-one conversation type prayers at any time. For example saying thank you first thing in the morning for having woken up once again. Praying for my family and their well-being. Or, for instance, when I meet someone and we are discussing their problems, I find myself praying silently for that person whilst listening, and asking God to help them. Or praying for visitors to my Blog … I am actually praying for you right now!...........
Yep I appreciate your honesty and beliefs. In our travels we have met some of the best in humans, they were of various Christian denominations and beliefs. I like someone who can actually say (and mean it on a human level) "I don't want to give God a headache!"
Love you dude.
Sherry & jack from this side.
You are so kind and dear to me Jack and Sherry. Thank you so much for your kind words here, and always. I'm so glad we met on the internet.
DeleteI feel prayers are talking, and listening, to God. Not repeating over and again the same prayers learnt at school or church. God knows our hearts. So let's at least be honest with Him and tell it as it is.
God bless you and your family.
Dearest Victor,
ReplyDeleteYou mention in that very lengthy (too lengthy in my opinion) interview that you don't want to give God a headache.
Always keeping in mind that your blog readers don't have the time to read that much. IF so desired, they get your book!
The art is to show an interest by giving some insight and to be as short and pithy as you can.
Long sermons don't gain more followers at Church...
But strong short ones invite for MORE!
Hugs,
Mariette
Thanx.
DeleteGod bless.
Constructive criticism...😉
DeleteI always figured you were a man who loved God immensely and was not afraid to show his faith. You are also gifts with a sense of humor and make me laugh many times when days are difficult or I feel in a foul mood. Laughter is truly one of the best medicines we have in life. Thanks for that. God always has HIs hands full withme. When I was a young woman and my children were small I loved doing the laundry. It gave me some time away, only for a few minutes at a time. I learned to pray during those times, chatting with God. He has answered so many prayers for me and for others throughout the years. I am grateful I learned to love Him as a small child. THank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.

Victor, it was so wonderful to see that you had shared your interview here! And I was so happy to see your kind comments on my blog. It seems I have lost touch with so many lately, as I haven't been blogging nearly as much while working on our books. I am grateful to know you and that you shared your amazing Inner Views with us. Your interview was such a blessing and was very well-received. May the Lord richly bless you always, my friend.
ReplyDeleteIt's so great to meet up again, Cheryl. Thank you so much for visiting my Blog and for all your support in the making of the Inner Views interview. I wish you all the best and success in your writing career.
