  3. Dearest Victor,
You've received an email with a photo of Pieter standing next to a sign of Oliver Hardy, Genius of Comedy.
Taken by my friend from The Netherlands when we did the historic tour of Madison in north Georgia.
Oliver Hardy is born in Harlem, Georgia on January 18, 1892 and they'd moved to Madison where his Mom opened a hotel named The Hardy House...
So you see, a small world after all!
But that duo caused a lot of good, healthy laughter!
    Something we need more of.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    1. Thank you Mariette. What a lovely photo and a good souvenir. Laurel and Hardy were a great team together providing laughter and joy to many. Something lacking a little these days.

God bless you and Pieter always.

    2. Glad you got it Victor and it is oh so windy and cold here; a complete change in weather after a very rough night with wind gusts. LOTS of rain yesterday. Painters have not yet come... When will they EVER finish?
      Hugs and stay bundled up!

    3. This winter seems to be dragging along for longer than usual. Always grey and damp.

      God bless, Mariette.

  5. Top comedians in my time. I hate it when those past on have their reputations 'smeared' by things like "THE TRUTH ABOUT LAUREL AND HARDY". I admired their professional work as a team. Their choice in life was to make others laugh AND THEY DID! I laughed today, I had never seen these skits before. ;-)

    1. I agree, Jack. What is the point of making programs that ruin/spoil peoples' reputations.

I used to enjoy Laurel & Hardy on TV.

      God bless you and Sherry.

  12. I don't know why they stopped showing their movies, used to be quite common on TV. Their humor lasts through times.

    1. You are right JoeH. The old movies were a lot of fun compared to today's comedy.
