Happiness

Thank you Lord
For Happiness

There are times
I feel happy

However fleeting
However short

I feel happy

Knowing all is well
All will be well

No fears or worries

At these times
When I am happy

I know then
You've touched my soul

  1. Happiness is a gift. Joy is even more of a gift. I choose to have joy but in the long run desire both.

    1. I didn't have a song about joy, Bill. Besides, that poem came to mind out of the blue, so I wrote it down quickly. That's a joy in itself.

      God bless.

  3. Both joy and happiness are positives. I will find happiness in the joy of being alive and loved and the simple pleasures that life has to offer.

Thank you for this lovely reminder Victor.

    God Bless 🌹

    1. I just thought of a song about joy: Give Me Joy in My Heart (Sing Hosanna). (See my comment to Bill). But then it would not fit with the poem.

I'll settle for joy and happiness.

      God bless you, Jan.

  5. Thanks for sharing Victor... The song was not my typical cup of tea (or coffee), but it had me smiling by the end. Great way to start the work week.

    1. I prefer hot chocolate as a drink; with a dash of whisky or brandy. Great to see you visiting again Ryan. God bless you.

  7. Another great video … thank you!
"However fleeting, however short" makes me wonder. If we were to be happy all the time, would we fully appreciate the exquisite feeling?

    1. Thank you for making a very good point, Mevely. Sometimes, (sometimes it happens spontaneously without warning), I feel happy ... OK ... I feel certain that all will be all right ... God is in control and will protect me. At these times, "however fleeting, however short" (as in my poem) I know He cares for me.

As you say, so rightly, the moment has to be spontaneous and limited in time. It cannot be permanent because if it were so we would not appreciate the awesomeness of the moment when God touches our soul.

I'm so grateful for your comment, Mevely. Thank you so much. God bless you always.
