More fake news

I have thought long and hard about posting this article. I do not intend to offend anyone; but this is an example of what I was writing about yesterday.

Yesterday's post entitled Facts, Truth and Lies was making the point that in these days of social media one can post anything and it seems to be reposted time and again regardless of whether it is true or not.

Here's a story that's been doing the rounds which I have received. It is alleged that apparently the story is true.

It seems this young lady got out of the building in the nude and entered a taxi. The driver was amazed and flabbergasted as well as astonished.

She said to him, "What's the matter with you? Have you never seen a naked woman before?"

He replied, "Sorry Miss ... I was wondering where you keep your money to pay me!"

Personally, I doubt that the story is true. But this is immaterial.

Whether the story is true or not does not matter. What is true is the photograph.

I ask myself, what made this woman take off her clothes in public and get in a taxi for all to see ... and photograph?

Was it a bet at a party? Was it a dare? Was she drunk perhaps? Did she get paid for this stunt?

Whatever her reasons, the photo has been taken and is doing the rounds on the Internet.

No doubt, one day she will regret taking part in this exercise.

  1. It looks posed. A model, maybe? A stunt?

Gotta love the passerby who either doesn't notice or is simply not getting involved. 😂

    It may be photoshopped.

    1. You're very observant, Sandi. I never even noticed the passer-by, and I have looked at this photo many times. I was concentrating on make and model of the car.

You're right, it could be photoshopped.

      God bless always.

  2. I've not seen this before! No, I don't suppose it's a photoshop; rather, someone's idea of art. France, perhaps? The sunglasses are a nice touch. (lol) I'm just envious of her legs.

    1. Wow Mevely ... you're just as observant as Sandi. I did not notice she was wearing glasses. I wasn't looking at her face.

      God bless, Mevely.

  3. The world is strange, I guess. We don't know whether this person was a paid model, or just did it as a dare or bet.

    God bless, Renee.

  4. Well at least she had sense enough to wear shoes.
    Am I envious? Hell yes!!!

    1. Shoes? Shoes? What is it with you ladies? Sandi noticed the passer-by, Mevely noticed the sunglasses, you Jan noticed her shoes. I did not realise she was wearing shoes. I was concentrating on the model and make of the car. We men look at different things in a photo with a naked lady. It's all about cars.

God bless. I'm curious ... are you envious of her shoes? Or the sunglasses?

  5. I wonder if it had been a fat old lady if it would have gotten such publicity. Just saying, haha.
It boils down to NO RESPECT for anything, the human body and they word "modesty".

    1. I doubt that a fat old lady would have wanted to take part in such a photo opportunity. She would have had difficulty entering the car. That door looks a bit narrow to me. However, a better class car with a sliding door would have been more appropriate. Better gas consumption too and cheaper to run.

God bless you Wanda and Renee.

    2. ... Certainly, no 'SELF-RESPECT' or respect for others; but definitely, this is 'attention-seeking' behavior! How very SAD that this obviously, beautiful young woman feels the need to 'bare all' in public ... for what? ... money? or just, for 'notoriety'??

    3. I guess both money (perhaps), and notoriety (maybe).

Have you seen how little, if anything, modern female dancers wear these days. Have you seen the one where Miley Cyrus swings on a wrecking ball. Amazing how the chain on that ball can carry all that weight.

      God bless, Suzanne.

  6. Maybe she wanted to get attention which I'm sure she did. Crazy times these are.

    1. She did not get much attention from me, Bill. The car on the other hand looks nice; although I'd prefer a different colour.

      God bless you my friend.

  7. Some folks will do anything for attention, that's for sure. I sure wish, though, that women would not degrade themselves like this. It gives us all a bad rep.
    Blessings, Victor!

    1. You're right, Martha. It's not just attention; often I guess it is for money, fame, celebrity ...

      God bless.

  8. In 40 years or so, she would see this photo and her kids/gr-kids will laugh. She will look down at her 60+ yr. old plump body, and sigh.

Will the taxi driver have to do the Covid disinfecting after?

    1. Good points, Susan. Sooner or later such women will have children and grand-children. Will they be happy with the example they have set?

      God bless you.

  9. My rule is, don't do anything you wouldn't want your mother to find out about if you died suddenly and she had to go to your funeral.

Don't write things you wouldn't want read out loud at your funeral, either.
