Nice video, Me thinks Pentecost is the People's birth of HIS church. Love from over here, we hit the road again tomorrow... Love to you from this side my friend.....
I was so pleased to see most of our congregants wearing red this morning for Pentecost. In Pastor Janet's absence, our friends Frank and Cindy (+ Tom on sax and 2 others) did services. Frank told about spreading His word by meeting people where THEY ARE. The same message told the way in which someone can relate. As an example, he did Amazing Grace in the manner of Country tune, then 'hippie' rock, later rap, etc., etc.
Thank you Mevely for posting this video. I saw it throughout and would recommend my readers to do the same.
Many similarities with our Mass today. Same readings, we also sang "Spirit of the living God" and recited the Credo and the Lord's Prayer. The sermon was the same - all Christians are commissioned to evangelise. We are not to keep the news about Jesus to ourselves. If the apostles and disciples did that and kept it a secret we would not have Christianity today.
The bidding prayers were said in different languages with people invited to speak in their native tongues - English, French, Italian etc ...
We were blessed to be able to sing two songs at church for Pentecost today, Victor. May the Holy Spirit fill our hearts and burn in our souls each and every day! Blessings!
...I wish you peace on this special Sunday.
