Chances are we have all known love of some kind or another in our lives. Parental love, marriage, friendships, partnerships and so on. And the chances are that love has been betrayed and hurt in our lives.
Some may well have been able to truly forgive and move on in life. But in reality, somewhere deep within, the hurt lingers on and makes us wary and careful in life compared to previously.
Imagine this: you are in Heaven and the person you were in love with, the person you married and divorced in acrimonious circumstances, is also there.
How do you feel?
It could be any other person who betrayed your love, not just a marriage partner. Someone you were close to betrayed you harshly.
How do you feel seeing them in Heaven?
On this question, the rest of your eternity could depend.
...that's what the song says.
ReplyDeleteGod bless, Tom.
DeleteToo early in the morning for me to think about something so deep. Having my first cuppa. I may circle back to see some of the comments you get. Love the bird picture, so colorful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandy. We look forward to your return visit.
DeleteGod bless always.
After this lifetime, whatever the contention or problem was is gone. We have all played our roles in one another's lives and then we go home to the truth. God bless you my friend. Aloha from Honolulu
ReplyDeleteYes, after this life whatever we have done in this life will be judged by God.
DeleteThank you for visiting us here, Cloudia. Call again soon and often. God bless you.
I like to think that when we get to heaven, we will have an understanding of what happened to us on earth, a heavenly perspective, and it will all makes sense.
ReplyDeleteGood point, Barbara. We will have a new understanding.
DeleteGod bless.
Maybe, here on Earth, we've only been permitted one side of the story. I pray that someday my eyes will be washed clean.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, here on earth, many are weighed down with unforgiveness.
DeleteGod bless you, Mevely.
Love isn't just a feeling but a commitment. There is no sin in heaven therefore everyone has been already forgiven.
ReplyDeleteAmen Happyone. God bless.
Deletethecontemplativecat here I am wrestling with issues that date back to an anxious and traumatic childhood. seeing my abuser is heaven would be a relief. To talk to my dad without fear and anger would be wonderful.
ReplyDeleteIf/when we see someone who has harmed us in Heaven, it should be a happy time indeed. Because it proves that the individual has accepted their wrongdoing and repented seeking forgiveness.
DeleteGod bless you, Susan.
Aloha, which means love, compassion, sympathy, kindness. ❤️

Aloha, Cheerful Monk. God bless always.
DeleteThat is a deep question, indeed, Victor, but I think when we get to Heaven, nothing will matter but being in God's presence.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Amen Martha. God bless you and yours always.
DeleteAs much as lies with you, be at peace with all. Those who treated you badly and with whom you cannot have a relationship in this life because they continue to do so, pray for them, love them from a distance, and know it will work out in heaven.
ReplyDeleteAmen Mimi. Wise words indeed.
DeleteGod bless.
