Are you reading my mind, Victor? Yes, I get my feelings ruffled easily if someone doesn't say "thank you" ... or even gives a finger wave when I slow to let them in traffic. My favorite take-away this morning is your prompt to give thanks to God even in less-than-optimal situations. It reminds me of one of my favorite Casting Crowns' songs, "Praise You in This Storm."
1 Thessalonians 5:18: "In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you"
When we praise God, even in terrible circumstances, we open a channel for His help to come through. Sometimes He works things for the better for us, or for other people, out of the bad situations. I have seen this happen many times. We are praising God, not for the bad situation, but because we are acknowledging that He is always in control and we trust Him ... totally.
Let us always remember those two magic phrases, "please" and "thank you." And let us give God the glory in all things with our gratitude attitudes. Blessings always, Victor, and thanks for this reminder here today!
AHHH we people forget how important the RADIO was. I am sure you were followed. We all had our favorites and did not want to miss them. My dad also was a radio enthusiast, declaring the Word. Thanks for your dedication thru the years to God and his Word. This brought back smiling memories. Sherry & jack. (Thanks for the prayers and comments.).
It's not hard to say please and thank you. I learned that as a small boy from my parents and if I forgot, I was reminded. God deserves a thank you for everyday he allows you to live.
...Victor, you have diverse talents for sure!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tom. God bless you.

DeleteThank you so much, Bill. God bless you.
Meister Eckhart: "If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you, it will be enough."
ReplyDeleteAmen.
