When I'm cleaning windows

Song first performed by George Formby in 1936. Because of the song’s racy lyrics for the time, it was banned by the BBC from being played on the radio.

  2. I can sure see why those were considered racy lyrics in the 1930s, Victor. Thanks for the humorous throw back!
    Blessings!

    1. George Formby used to play the banjo when singing. Very popular in his time.

    1. Yes, that would be a brilliant song, Mimi. Use the same tune with new lyrics. Sing it and put it on You Tube.

      God bless.

  11. Thank you for the light-hearted entertainment. That didn't sound particularly risque to me, but this is almost a century later. Blessings, my friend

    1. It shows how things change over time, Nells. Now lyrics, and the appearance on stage of many singers, is totally different.

      Good bless.
