Carpaccio

I think cars should not be made in the same colour. It is very confusing. Cars should be manufactured in slightly different colours with no two cars the same. I wrote to a number of car manufacturers and they have all ignored me.

I'll tell you what sparked this whole thing. A few months ago I went to a famous theatre for a ballet performance. I don't like the ballet; but I went with a few business colleagues as part of a work's outing. I don't understand why ballet dancers have to stand on tiptoe. Why can't they hire taller dancers?

Anyway, after the performance I went to the car park and I mistakenly tried to get into a car the same colour as mine. But it was not my car.

I drive a twenty years old mini. The car I tried to enter was a new Rolls Royce. But it was the same colour. Easy mistake to make.

Do you agree that cars should not be the same colour?

NOTE: Carpaccio has nothing to do with cars. It is an Italian hors-d'oeuvre consisting of thin slices of raw beef or fish served with a sauce.

Do you like carpaccio?

Do you like cars?

Do you like gaspacho? It's an hors-d'oeuvre made of gas.

The most frequently encountered 'gazpacho' is an
uncooked mixture of tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, water,
vinegar, onions, cucumbers, and green peppers,
    thickened with bread crumbs...! Yum..!

    1. You've had quite a selection of cars. A Roller too! I bet that was lovely to drive. If all cars were pink we'd all get confused as to which is our car.

      God bless, Willie.

    1. We also have rust coloured cars. That's real rust, not the paintwork.

      God bless, Tom.

  3. Dearest Victor,
A fun post and aside from the color car, you ought to recognize your mini by its looks...😜
The gaspacho is a good one, guess with the extreme high prices we all are living this 'gaspacho'...
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    1. Yes, but the looks of my old mini was not as nice as the looks of the Rolls Royce.

      Gaspacho leaves me cold.

      God bless, Mariette.

  4. Reading blogs has become a family event with son JJr here. We thoroughly enjoyed this. Still laughing about the obvious mistake in cars and the short dancers.
Take care my friend and stay safe. Thanks for the prayers. ;-)

  5. Taller dancers, indeed! I don't recall ever having tasted carpaccio, but yes. I love cars. The mention of gaspacho made me chuckle in remembrance of a work-related dinner at an upscale establishment. Because our new boss thought a great deal of himself, 2 account executives took it on themselves to embarrass him. Robin ordered steak tartare "medium well"; while Pam having already tasted her gaspacho, complained to the waiter, "My soup is COLD!"

    1. Good one, Mevely. I don't think I could eat raw meat. Or indeed raw fish, like oysters, clams and the like. I often wonder whether we are really meant to eat certain things that you see on cooking programs. The other day on TV people were eating gold which was put on food as decorations - ice cream it was I think.

      God bless.

    2. Oh I forgot ...

Waiter ... Waiter ... there's a fly in my soup!

      It's protein, Sir!

Waiter ... I saw your finger in the soup plate as you were serving.

Don't worry, Sir, it's not hot.

  6. LOL....I have tried to get in someone else's car before; but it was the same make and color. Had to laugh at the picture that came to mind of a mini and Rolls Royce....

    1. When I'm in a car park searching for my car, I always go for the same colour first. And this one was a nice brand new Rolls Royce. The chauffeur was not very understanding as he sat there in the driving seat.

      God bless, Sandy.

  7. I prefer red cars myself. Around here most cars are black, or so dark as to look black.

    1. It was a sense of hopefulness, Mimi. A Rolls Royce is better than a mini.

      God bless you.
