  2. I've so enjoyed following Fr. Francis. Once upon a time, I was that spoiled, thoughtless child he speaks about. Only when I fell once, twice, 3 times did I learn to appreciate what I've been given.

  5. We often don't realizes the abundances we have. Different topic, but lunched today with a friend from HS (lots of years ago). She was related all the extensive medical issues she had; but not complaining, just explaining why she wasn't able to do things as she used to; but I was impressed at her not being negative, not being oh poor pitiful me. Her outlook was inspiring. She's grateful for her family, friends, and the life she's lead.

    1. What a wonderful person. I'm often amazed at peoples' faith and outlook on life, especially when things go wrong for them and life is difficult. They are an example to all of us.

      God bless, Sandy.

    2. Yes there truly are, and sadly...some of us need to be reminded.

  6. I’m big on gratitude too. My favorite prayer when adversity strikes is. “Thank you Lord for the opportunity. I sure hope You know what You are doing.” A sense of humor also helps a lot.

  7. It is most important to use what we have wisely. Feeding my crew for many years, I learned to make the most of everything and almost nothing went to waste.

Another thing I've found is when you are satisfied with enough, you don't have to keep chasing more.
