  1. Dearest Victor,
Lovely music for the early morning and good subject too.
    Past - Present - Future.
A great subject and I love Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn Quote: Let your memory be your travel bag.
There comes a time in our lives when real travel is no longer an option.
If we have fond memories from the past, they will make a great cushion for old age...
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    1. You are so right, Mariette. Whenever we can we should make happy memories for ourselves, and for others, to sustain us in times of difficulties. I have always tried to see the funny side in a situation, whenever possible.

I have recorded my happy/funny memories here, in case you wish to check them out:

      God bless always.

  2. ...living in the present as you remember the post and prepare for the future is what life is all about.

  3. So enjoyed Fr. Maple's reflections, Victor, and the song, too. Thanks for brightening up my Sunday!
    Blessings!

    1. I'm so glad I managed to rescue this old piece of tape, Martha. A great souvenir of times gone by for me. I'm pleased you enjoyed it.

God bless you and your family.

  4. Great reflections today from Fr. Maple. He's quite the knowledgeable priest. What year did you make this tape? The beginning reminds me of what comes on before a movie begins.

    1. The opening music is the soundtrack to the film Exodus. I used that as the introduction to my Christian programs which lasted one hour. Can't remember the exact year of the tape - late 80s or 90s I'd guess.

      God bless, Bill.

  5. Another home run for good Fr. Maple! Another of my blog friends has a tradition that I've adopted: Rather than putting a specific number of candles on her loved ones' birthday cakes, hers have just 3 -- representing the Past, the Present and the Future. (Neat, huh?)
I have to wonder how many married couples still consider one another their best friend?

    1. Great ideas about the birthday cake candles, Mevely. You're right; how many consider their partners as best friends?

      God bless you my friend.
