  1. Dearest Victor,
Got my morning sermon when I proved to be listener 10.
That is special for having those recordings.
    Hugs,

    1. Yes Mariette, it is special to me to have found these old recordings on magnetic tape and saving them into digital format. Some of the tapes had deteriorated with time.

I am so pleased you enjoyed this short reording.

      God bless you always.

    2. Victor, indeed very happy for you! Know this feeling too well as I've found such old record from Pieter's lecture at the Conference in 1987. Even more precious were these: https://mariettesbacktobasics.blogspot.com/2020/01/1948-gevaphone-record-with-young-pieter.html

  4. Such a timely reflection on this Sunday morning, Victor. Praying that we will all be ready on that day, and that no one will be left behind.

    1. Yes it was, Kathy. Sir Cliff Richard is a famous English rock singer, and a committed Christian.

      God bless.

    2. I was familiar with him as a rock artist, but did not know his religious side.

    3. Yes Kathy, a very dedicated Christian. Sadly, he is often mocked on TV for his beliefs. That's the way we are in secular Britain.

      God bless you.

  8. I know that I take things for granted, it's hard not too. You were right when you mentioned that we don't realize what we take for granted until something happens, like that light switch going on. I can't tell how many times I do things and don't think of them then wonder if I did them. It all becomes a habit. I try to pay attention and need to practice more on that and being very thankful for where I am and who I'm with. It can all change in a second and then we wish we could turn back time and we know we can't. Great post Victor! It's these simple reminders that are important and we forget those too. Life is certainly a lot of work, isn't it. Have a great day brand new day.

    1. Thank you so much, Bill for your kind words about my radio program. I guess we all take things for granted every now and then. As long as we remember and try as best we can not to.

      God bless always, Bill.

  9. THIS. Again, your message has resonated so deep in my soul. Like my expectation of the light switch, there's so much, too much I've taken for granted. Sometimes I imagine God up there, watching and shaking his head. Praying I'll not be left behind.

    1. We all sometimes take things ... people even ... for granted, Mevely. We take our way of living for granted, compared to what others have to endure in other countries. Let us pray that we change our ways ... and for forgiveness.

      God bless always, Mevely.

  10. My prayer is that we are all ready. Lord, help us!
