Just a thought or two at Christmas.

PLEASE HELP A CHARITY AT CHRISTMAS

  2. As always, I love your insight. Follow me, not on social media made me smile. We decided this year to donate our mandatory distribution. 2 Charities, one is Homeless Families (that's the charity I donate all my afghans to), and the Food Bank. I think this is an easy thing for people to do. It's money you weren't using anyway, so you don't really miss it. Stay warm.

    1. Yes Sandy; I know people over here who work at the food-bank and also go out every week to feed the homeless in town.

      God bless you.

  3. These memes are priceless, Victor. And if we are financially able, we should give to worthy charities, especially at this joyful time of the year. God bless!

    1. Amen Martha. That's the real meaning of Christmas - to love one another as He loves us.

      God bless always.

  4. Whoa, powerful. The abortion one - you have to wonder, with the state of the world if those that would have made medical advancements were aborted - great leaders - geniuses it blows the mind when really thinking of the cost to humanity. Sad.

    1. Humanity is becoming evil, in thought, word and deeds. Then we wonder why the world is in such a bad state.

      God bless you, Debby.

  5. Lots of people need help this time of year. For some it's very hard to go through the holidays. Animals have a hard time too. Some are abandoned for no reason. We all need to reach out and help whoever we can.

  6. There are so many who need help not only at Christmas, but throughout the year. Our local churches are already getting ready to open their doors to offer warmth and a meal to local homeless and those in need. Anything we can do, no matter how small or how big helps and it doesn't have to be monetary! Our time and a kind word and smile means so much to so many.

    All the best Jan

    1. Yes indeed, well-said Jan. I know of a number of churches here who take turns to go out feeding the homeless each night. Also looking after and caring for the elderly. All through the year.

      God bless you.

  7. That one about abortion really touched me, as well. I pray that God gives me not only a charitable heart -- but a discerning one as well so I might rightly choose.

    1. So sad that so many lives are lost through abortion. God's gift of life has been cheapened.

      God bless you, Mevely.

  9. WE ALL need a more charitable heart, that is for sure. I did get a kick out of reading and thinking about your short book. Imma tell you, you created a read conversation piece. And you blame it on your son. ;-)
Love you enjoy the season, and thanks for your prayers.

    1. Thank you for your kind words about my book, Jack. It is short and to the point to encourage people to find out more about God. So many just do not care.

My son is my technical advisor and does all the computer work and graphics.

Thank you for all your kindness to me. Praying for you all and God bless you always.

    1. TRANSLATION: Dear Víctor, it is not only Christmas that we have to help others, it is a moral obligation to do so all year round, there are many people who are having a bad time and we cannot be indifferent to that.
      Beautiful post.
Hugs and I leave you a kiss, have a happy day, may God bless you today and always.

Thank you so much, Liz for your kind words and for visiting me here again. Much appreciated.

You are right, we should help those less fortunate than ourselves all the time - not just at Christmas. A moral obligation as well as a Commandment from God.

God bless you always, my friend.

  11. We save up and give what we can at Christmas, and sometimes a bit more than we'd saved. Other times of year, we give to the church, and our church supports several programs for those in need.

Thank you for the food for thought up there.

  13. Merry Christmas Victor and Family: Thank-you for another wonderful post.
I agree about charity, we need to give even if it hurts.

    Merry Christmas

  14. We are close to the end times Victor, and it is important that each believer remains in the remnant that our Saviour will be returning for. Sadly, many people in the world do not include CHRIST in CHRISTmas. God bless you in our Lord.
