They say that life is like a toilet roll; the nearer it gets to the end the faster it goes round.
How often do we speed busily through life from one thing to another and rarely have the time to stop and enjoy what life is all about.
Let's slow down a bit and make happy memories for tomorrow.
Dearest Victor,
ReplyDeleteIndeed the little things are the most valuable.
Guess, being an immigrant made us more aware of all that!
Hugs,
Mariette
I understand, Mariette. I believe we should go through life making happy memories for us and others. They will sustain us in future.

💞
Delete...that sums it up nicely.
ReplyDeleteThat's true, Tom.

What a wonderful song! I mean, who can't not relate to those lyrics. Now I wish I hadn't been so quick to throw away much of my own 'stuff' and kept a shoebox of my own.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this message in song!
I understand, Mevely. Sometimes I find things collected from my past ... and the memories come flooding in.
DeleteGod bless you always.
The little moments all together make big moments that you don't want to overlook.
ReplyDeleteYou make a good point, Bill. Thank you.
DeleteGod bless you and yours.
I wept through this song. My son passed away last October. He was forty five. He left two children one eight and one five. They have many videos of their dad teaching them to swim, ride a bicycle and many other things. It is the little things that mean the most. Thanks for this lovely reminder. Blessings to you and yours, Victor.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son, Nells. Please accept my sincerest condolences. I am praying for you and your whole family including the two lovely children he left behind. I shall pray that God be with you all and comforts and consoles you now and always.
DeleteGod bless you all.
Thank you, so much, Victor. It has been rough. We were very close.
DeleteWith sincere best wishes to you all.

Simpler times and the simple things. That's what truly makes the world go round.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Victor!
Yes Martha, we tend to forget the simple times in life. The good memories we leave behind as our legacy of love.
DeleteGod bless you and yours.
"Let's slow down a bit and make happy memories for tomorrow."
ReplyDeleteSo important.
All the best Jan
Yes Jan. We always seem to be rushing these days.
DeleteGod bless you and your family.
If anything matters, then everything matters, including, and maybe even especially, the little things.
ReplyDeleteAmen, Mimi.
DeleteGod bless you.
I don't have a shoebox full of memories, every time I moved I threw so much away, but I do have albums and boxes of old photos and that's enough for me.
ReplyDeleteI agree, River. Sometimes the best memories are the ones in our heart.
DeleteGod bless.
I am so glad I looked back here and saw I had missed this entry. I have never heard that song. Ah, tears here. I never intentionally had a picture of me and daddy. I wish I had. But I remember the pocket knife and carving my knife in many trees.
ReplyDeleteWe no longer have a shoe box, but our mamas did. THANK YOU my friend, this was the best and I almost missed it.
Love from over here. I also spoke your name in prayer also.
Sherry & jack
I am so grateful for your much needed prayers, Jack and Sherry. Thank you so much.
DeleteI'm so glad we met on the Internet. Memories, fond memories, of times gone by and of people in our past, are the best way to honour them and thank them for the influence they had on us. I am sure your parents love you as always, and are very proud of you.
God bless you all always.
