Good morning grumpy

The Angels were looking down from a window in Heaven and saying, "1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4 ...."

Jesus walks past and asks, "What are you doing?"

Gabriel replies, "We are counting how many people say 'Good morning God', when they wake up!"

Well, how about you?

I sometimes wake up grumpy in the morning. At other times I just let her sleep!

No ... wait ... let's be serious for a moment.

Do you welcome a new day as you wake up each morning? Do you thank God that you made it through the night and are ready to face a new day? Or do you dread another day full of chores, worry and difficulties?

How does God see you as you wake up? Does He smile at your cheerfulness and hope. Or does He say, "Oh ... here we go again! Moan moan moan and not an ounce of Faith despite the many prayers!"

Just asking.

  2. Very good and again timely entry. I think it, but seldom welcome the day with a verbal THANK YOU LORD!
I do thank the Lord for HIS presence and for giving us this life.

  3. Lately, I wake up by thanking God for another chance ... and follow it was a prayer someone's unpleasantness won't rain on my parade. ('Jus keeping it real.)

    1. The Lord is looking after us and saving us from more ills than we can possibly imagine. I have found this to be true many times in my life; but for personal reasons I cannot go into details.

      God bless, Mevely.

  6. I usually say thank you to God every day but sometimes if I forget, the thank you comes later in the day when I remember it.

    1. I forget too, Bill. I often pray, "thank you for all the times I forgot to say thank you!" I hope He understands and forgives me.

      God bless you my friend.

  7. I have my mornings when I'm reluctant to get up, but once I have that cup of coffee and take in the new day, I can't help but be thankful.
    Blessings, Victor!

    1. There's nothing like a good cup of coffee in the morning. I always tell grumpy this; but she still expects me to make it.

Seriously ... there are so many things for us to be thankful for, Martha. I know things could be so much worse for me.

God bless you and your family.

  8. Psalm 92
A Psalm, a Song, for the Sabbath day.
"It is good to give thanks unto Jehovah, and to sing psalms unto thy name, O Most High; To declare thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness in the nights, Upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the lute ..."

  9. When I first open my eyes, I try to take my first thought captive and sing (in my mind so I don't wake my Sweetie) the good-morning song to God. Sometimes it takes a moment because I really need to use the facilities, but I try.
