THE DUBLINERS

  1. I love that little song! Never heard it before, but it goes along with my "One Word" for the year, "Strength". So, I will not give up until it's over, I won't quit if I can...and that weight on my shoulder will make me a stronger "man"! (woman!!) Nice little song. Thanks for sharing it with us today.

    1. Hi Pamela. It's a song I heard many years ago as a child by an Irish group called The Dubliners. I attended their concerts in London.

      God bless.

  2. ...we had our Bicentennial in 1976 and I saw a sign that said, "on this site in 1776 nothing happened."

    1. History repeats itself. Nothing happened on that site in 1843 either.

      God bless, Tom.

  4. Wow. That song by the Dubliners was great. In past years I gave up much too soon on some things. As a senior citizen now I recognize the mistake that was. Thanks for the advice and encouragement.

  7. Yes, Victor, we should never give up!
I do need prayers for Danny - his pacemaker went off and he is in the hospital at this time. It looks like he will be okay, but we are at St. Simon's, GA, so out-of-town. That makes it extra complicated for us. His sons are helping out so much, for which I am extremely grateful. My brother is also nearby, so that is also comforting. We just don't know how long we will be here.
    Blessings, my friend!
