A Star Role In A Film For You

I would like you to star in a film I am making in your mind.

You have just arrived in Heaven. You are excited, with more than a degree of trepidation also. You do not know what to expect. You are so happy that at last you have made it to Heaven but you are not sure what it's like here and what you will find.

You are quickly made to feel welcome. The place is so calm, and quiet and serene. You've never felt like this before.

In no time you get to meet Jesus. Your emotions are all over the place. You don't know what to say or do.

He says, "Peace be with you," and you feel calm and still as a joyful feeling surrounds you.

Over a short period of time you get to meet other people here. Relatives and friends who passed away before you. You hug, you embrace as tears of joy run down your cheeks. You exchange stories, fond memories and tales of times gone by. You laugh and smile as you finally understand how and why certain periods in your life turned out as they did. How at the time you may have felt alone and afraid but Jesus was always near at hand to help.

In time, you begin to notice that certain people you know are not here in Heaven. You begin to wonder why. Did they exclude themselves from this place by something they did or said? Do they not want to be here? Why not?

You recall in your mind how those people were in life when you knew them then. You loved them and they loved you, despite perhaps some disagreements or clashes in personality or no chemistry between you. But you loved them. Deep inside they were good people really. Their attitude and manners may have been different to yours but they were good people. And now, they are not here. They are not in Heaven with you.

You miss them. You never thought you'd miss them when you were alive on earth. But now, in Heaven, you miss them. You'd expected they'd be here with you for eternity. And they are not. You miss them.

There's nothing you can do to change this. For some reason, they have excluded themselves from this place.

You sit down and think ... "Is there anything I could have done back then that would have ensured those people are with me in Heaven now?"

  1. Heaven or is a common religious cosmological
or transcendent supernatural place where beings
such as gods, angels, souls, saints, or venerated
ancestors are said to originate, be enthroned,
    or reside...
Heaven is often described as a "highest place",
the holiest place, a Paradise, in contrast to
    hell or the Underworld..

Heaven will be a happy, fun place to be..just
    think l'll be wearing a 'PINK' shroud..'PINK'
    wings and a 'PINK' halo..HeHe!
At least we won't see people like Putin, tRump,
Col Sanders, Burger~King..God! If l get there,
l hope they'll be somebody there l know at least..!

And as far as family and friends go..l do my best,
l can't force them to be good, l can't be with them
24/7..but..l can be kind and good towards them....
And, let God decide..! Leave it at that! Amen!

  2. And then you had to say: "Is there anything I could have done back then that would have ensured those people are with me in Heaven now?"......
Definitely something to really think about.
THANKS (I think! if you know what I mean!)
    Love from over here

    1. There's always something we can do to bring someone to share in God's love.

    1. Sometimes by giving them a good example by the way we live is the best way to attract people to God.

      God bless, Giorgio.

  4. Some people are beyond words, they don't want to talk about God. You can't convince people who don't want to believe.

  5. I wonder if we will realize that some of our loved ones are not there, but recognize the ones who are. God does not look at us the same way man does. The Lord searches our hearts! God bless, Victor.

  6. Now I'm wondering, what if I was not in a position (too young, a child) to be an influencer? Great food for thought, my friend.

    1. Of course, God knows whether we had the opportunity to influence others in loving God. He will not judge people beyond their capabilities. That is why, I believe, that priests, pastors, vicars and so on have a special responsibility in leading their followers to Heaven.

God bless you and yours, Mevely.

  7. Some people just won't believe no matter what you say or do!!
What will be nice is when we get to heaven and see the people there because of what we said or did. Though we must remember that we can't save anyone - that is God's doing.

    1. Yes, it would be great to see someone in Heaven whom we have influenced and encouraged to follow the Lord.

  8. I sure hope that all those I've loved will be there in heaven when I get there, Victor. It would be so sad to realize they had shown an indifference to Jesus, and that's why I'll never see them again. May what I say and do in this life convince others to accept Jesus in theirs.
    Blessings!

  9. Live as an example before them and love them and pray for them a whole, whole lot, that's about all we can do.

  10. There are probably many things we "could" have done differently or done for them, but worrying about that when you are already in heaven, or even before you get there, is not going to make any difference. You can't go back and change things. If people could come back and do it better, the world now might not be in so much mess. I understand the message is to do the best you can for people now, while we are still alive, but if we could have done better by someone who is now dead, then it is still too late if they didn't get to heaven.

    1. It is true that we cannot do much more for anyone who is dead; but are we doing enough for those still living?

  11. Love God and love one another is an important scripture when we look up what the word " love" means. The main thing is to be kind to people. Do not worry if people do not accept you when they come to know you are a believer in Christ, for Jesus says in the scriptures that we will be hated for His name sake. That doesn't mean that we must return that hatred.

  12. I wonder if we will be aware, of the ones who are not there, only of the ones who are there. God doesn’t see things the way mere man does; He looks at the heart. May the Lord be with you.
