Could it be clearer than that?

Matthew 25:31-46 is a little too long to reprint here. You'll have to read it yourself. But let me paraphrase.

On the day of judgement Jesus will separate people to His right and to His left.

He will say to those on His right, “Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.”

They will ask Him when did they do these things. And He will respond "Whatever you did for the least amongst you; you did it for Me!"

Then He will say to those on the left, "You that are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels ... ... ..."

They saw similar people in their lives and ignored them and did nothing to help.

Could it be clearer than that?

  1. Matthew 5:44. But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you..

    11. Isaiah 55:7. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon...

AND..Do you think that God will actually say...
"You that are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels...
    NO! I~THINK~NOT...!

    1. What do you think God will say to those people who ignored the poor and needy on their doorsteps?

See also the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31. Jesus seems to make our obligation clear.

      God bless, Willie.

    2. Luke 6:20-21
Then he looked up at his disciples and said: ‘Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.’

I think that those on the left hand, will, and should
be given a final chance to redeem themselves and their
      souls..possibly that's why there is a purgatory..!
Everyone should have the chance to say sorry..and try
      again..! God! Will allow that..!
      PS..
And..I totally agree with Tom's comment..!

  2. ...many "Christians" only remember the scriptures that they care to remember.

    1. You are so right, Tom. We seem to have re-written the Bible to suit our own selfish desires.

      God bless always.

  3. NO! That is very clear, and at times we still don't get it. But many do try, and that does count, methinks....

    1. Thank you Jack. It is very clear to me that by caring and loving others (or not) we will be judged. There will be no second chance to repent and change our ways. Once we're dead we can hardly help others worse off than us. It will be too late to repent.

The Bible quotes I mention, especially the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31 makes this clear.

God bless you and Sherry always my friends.

  5. Crystal clear! This reminds me of -- ".....some have unwittingly entertained angels." And another -- "Oh, I want to be in that number, when the saints go marching in."

    1. Thank you for confirming I am right, Mevely. As best we can we should try to help others less fortunate than ourselves. Not just in monetary terms. Your quotes are very pertinent.

      God bless you always.

  6. It all comes down to what you believe. There are so many opinions but only one is right.

  7. Dearest Victor,
There will be a LONG line on Jesus' left and it is still forming. All those that look away from genocide that is happening right now. Leaders are not true leaders but only serving their own 'temporarily' reigns... It will be awfully hot in the very end.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  8. Matthew 7:13, CSB: "Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. Me..Me..Me, does not lead us to the narrow gate. God bless.

  10. Quite clear. Yet we don't help them to earn our way to heaven, we help because it is our joy to represent our Savior to them so maybe they will see Him and believe, too.

  11. I give what I can when I can, which lately isn't very often or very much, I donate good clothing and books to the local secondhand shop and I've dropped coins in a few beggars caps, but mostly I look out for my family first. If they need help, I'm there. I help out my neighbours when they ask too, but only if I can. There are things I just can't do anymore.
