Jesus is on Twitter

As you know a “tweet” is a text-based message of up to 140 characters which your “friends” can receive and respond to. Here are some tweets sent by Jesus:

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.

Love your neighbour as yourself.

Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Forgive us the wrongs we have done, as we forgive the wrongs that others have done to us.

Do not judge others, so that God will not judge you, for God will judge you in the same way as you judge others.

Do not take revenge on someone who wrongs you. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, let him slap your left cheek too.

Forgive them, Father! They don’t know what they are doing.

Peace be with you.

I will be with you always, to the end of the age.

I say: This is great advice from our Lord, Jesus.

Are you a follower?

But! Then l was raised to be a leader,
    not a follower..!

Further to the above..The 10 commandments
    would suffice...After all..Moses worked

all 11 clocks, an hour forward, ready for
    tomorrow..!

    1. Originally, you could read Him in the Bible. You still can.

      God bless, Tom.

  3. How clever, Victor! Yes, these are definitely the tweets Jesus would share with us in the here and now. But we can find them in Bible if we are committed to studying the Word.
    Blessings!

    1. You are so right, Martha. There's so much we can learn in the Bible about God and His Son Jesus.

      God bless always.

  4. Lovely post Victor. Once I have read scriptures a few times they return to my mind at the appropriate times, when I am in a situation when I need to hear them. His Word is a living Word that becomes a conversation in our lives.

  5. Someone should sign up for Twitter to be a mouthpiece for Jesus' wisdom....maybe you?

    1. We all are Christ's mouthpiece by the way we live, and through our Blogs, and generally as we behave towards others. Except wasps. Wasps attacked me once!

      God bless, Kathy.

  6. Contrary to a lot of opinion today, The message is still short, DEEP and sweet. On a lever where the average person can understand and remember. We are not tweeters so this is knowledge to us. ;-)
    Sherry & jack, over here.

    1. As you say, Jack; the message of Christ is short and very meaningful.

God bless you and Sherry always.

  7. Perfect tweets -- short and meaningful! Years ago I signed up for Twitter, only to overthink it all. Within days, I quit the whole shebang. Now -- like Kathy said, would you consider becoming His mouthpiece. I might reconsider and I'm bet the rest of your readers would follow.

    1. Right at the end of the column on the right there is my Twitter account. I have been on Twitter for a while.

You are right. It is complicated and overthought. Non-members can only see a few of my tweets and then they are obliged to join. This is silly and counter-productive. Unlike Blogger where everyone can see my posts (and yours) whether they are members or not.

I only tweet the links to my Blog posts. So visitors to my Blog here have no need to join Twitter. It's the same with Facebook. I was a member and left. Too complicated.

We are all Christ's mouthpiece, Mevely. Being a true Christian is what He asks.

      God bless you and yours.

  8. Dearest Victor,
Well, it would be quite a challenge for Jesus to reach everyone in so many different languages!
AND most are deaf to his messages...
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  9. Some people would block Jesus on social media. I don't belong to those sites, people are so mean and fake IMO.

    1. So true, too many fake people on those social sites. You are not missing much, Bill.

      God bless.

  10. Thank you for reminding me of the Commandments. It is so easy for people to ignore them, defy them.

  14. There are cell phones in Heaven? Or is Jesus speaking through others here on earth? Yeah, that must be it.
I don't do twitter, to me it's a huge waste of time. I could be making the bed or feeding that cat instead.
