  2. Forgiveness is key to living our Christian commitments, Victor. May we be slow to anger and quick to forgive.
    Blessings!

  5. It's part of learning the art of letting go. Life gives us plenty of chances to practice.

  7. Sometimes the thought of forgiveness makes me go, "Okay, but you go first!" (jk) Or, what about the individual who isn't sorry for what he/she has done?
Often, the hardest one to forgive is myself. Thank you for another thought-provoking lesson.

    1. Very often, Mevely, people have moved away from our lives and don't really care for forgiveness and never ask for it. As you say, they are not sorry anyway. This happened to Christ. Those who crucified Him never sought forgiveness.

Had they asked - would He have forgiven them? Then so should we. Even if they don't ask.

If we have done something wrong ourselves and have sincerely repented to God, then we should accept that He has forgiven us. If we don't forgive ourselves we are in effect doubting His forgiveness; and we are saying our standards are higher than His. How does He feel about that?

      God bless, my friend.

  8. Amen with what you have said regarding forgiveness, it is much better to pray for a person than to allow hatred to enter our minds and hearts. God bless you Victor.

  9. I relate to Melvey's comment above. I sometimes think how many do overs do you want, when people say they're sorry and turn around and do the same thing over and over, and or something worse. I'm not sure I can do that. Is it wrong of me to think some people are truly flawed, evil even.

    1. No Sandy, it is not wrong for you to think the way you do. We all have a right, a duty even, to protect ourselves and our loved ones from evil. If someone has hurt us, and shows every sign of doing it again; we should forgive them and keep our distance. Do not give them the opportunity to hurt you, (and sin) again!

Please read this story from one of my books:

      God bless.
